Robin Lehner looked very solid. Although the Sens were outshot early in the game, Lehner outplayed Penguins Thiessen and kept the Sens in the game. Lehner was the number one ranked European goalie going into last summers draft, Lehner's father is a renowned goalie coach who also coached NY Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist.

Other notables were:

Erik Karlsson was a target all night by Penguin players looking to make a name for themselves.

Geoff Kinrade made some nifty moves.

Zack Smith showed team comes first.

Jim O'Brien made a nice deke in the corner and showed patience with dangling the puck.

Keegan Dansereau looked like has some real puck sense. With 37 goals and 81 points with Swift Current last year should play in the NHL one day.

Jason Bailey was solid and looked ready. Not flashy but a team player.

Many of the other players played surprisingly well as well. Overall, the Sens outplayed their opponents and were quicker and had better positioning almost all night.
